Filmmaker Kabir Khan, who made an award winning documentary on Burma- ''The Forgotten Army''(1998)- has welcomed the recent release of Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi by the military junta.''My visit to Burma was a difficult one, with lot of problems from the officials. It was difficult to shoot the documentary in such circumstances. The release of Aung San Suu Kyi is, however, not enough. Burma is not yet a democracy and we'll have to wait and see what happens,'' Khan said in Bombay yesterday at the Chivas Studio Spotlight, where he exhibited his collection of photographs taken around the world.
The exhibition was attended by Bollywood celebrities including Katrina Kaif, John Abraham and Dino Morea among others
