The film, which had a novel theme, was a slow starter but because it appealed to the audience, its collections picked up and the film went on to do good business in the cities. After its good run at the cinemas, it was time to settle the accounts.

To his horror, producer Anjum Rizvi was told by UTV that not much was due to him as crores of rupees had been spent on the film’s post-release promotion and marketing. All along, Rizvi had been under the impression that he would get a handsome amount of money as his share of profit from the corporate house. But his dream, it seems, has been shattered.
