"Media Is More Dangerous Than Terrorists" : Ram Gopal Varma
- Abid           Let us know what you think about this story

As is known to most, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's presence at the Taj Hotel in Bombay, the centre of the dastardly terrorist attacks (post the heinous act), was resented by most sections of the society. He was there with the the ex-CM Vilasrao Deshmukh and his actor son Ritesh.

However, instead of trying to calm things down and assuaging the feelings by saying that his presence was misunderstood, but if it hurt the sentiments of the citizens of India, he would like to apologise for it, an unrepentent Ram Gopal Varma has gone ahead and proclaimed (on his blog) -" If people who attack the unarmed are defined as terrorists then Media at various levels with their coercive methods and insinuations are very similar. A terrorist attacks the mind and kills the body, the media attacks the mind with its interpretations and kills a person’s spirit with its insinuations. In a way I would say that Media is more dangerous than terrorists because they do it under the guise of safe-guarding values."

We are very pained and more than that shocked at the once brilliant filmmaker's egoistic and inhuman musing and are forced to say - Shame on you Ram Gopal Varma!
