Paul Schrader To Team Up With Anubhav Sinha?
- Abid           Let us know what you think about this story

A source tipped off the biggest story that was kept completely under wraps so far. " Paul Schrader is coming to town!" he called. "Yes.. THE Paul Schrader.. writer of 'Taxi Driver' and 'Raging Bull' and director of many acclaimed Hollywood films like 'American Gigolo', 'Hardcore', 'Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters (1985)' , for which he was nominated for the Palme d'Or prize at that year's Cannes Film Festival, 'Light of Day' and an unconventional, visually inventive film about the 'Kidnap of Patty Hearst'. His other work, 'The Comfort of Strangers' was adapted by Harold Pinter from the eponymous Ian McEwan novel, 'Light Sleeper' a sympathetic study of a drug dealer vying for a normal life, 'Touch', from an Elmore Leonard novel, 'Affliction', from a Russell Banks novel, and the romantic thriller 'Forever Mine' .Yes.. the very same cinematic genius."

Further investigations and digging revealed that Paul had come to Mumbai for a secretive two day visit. And guess who was instrumental in getting Schrader to India? Our very own Anubhav Sinha. Yes, the director of hits like 'Tum Bin' and 'Dus'.

The source further revealed, " Anubhav had recently slipped off the Bollywood radar as he was busy travelling abroad meeting up with Paul Schrader and other important biggies. Apparently, Sinha is teaming up with Schrader for the biggest ever Hollywood Bollywood collaboration."

Apparently it seems that Schrader is Mumbai to set up his magnum opus in association with Anubhav, which is to star some very big Bollywood names along with top line Hollywood talents. Paul is supposed to be directing this dream project no less! Bollywood couldn't have asked for more.

Anubhav who is also directing a film for Shahrukh Khan's homeproduction starring King Khan refused to comment on this when contacted. But a source spilled the beans on the association, " Paul Schrader has been signed do write and direct a film that will comprise of its cast from the US and India. There will be some leading top of the line names from both the industries. Paul has started conversations with some prominent names but it is too early to talk names. Paul has met up with a couple of big Bollywood names on his visit to Mumbai. Lets see who gets lucky!"
