After Ramgopal Varma accompanied Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh to what has come to be known as terror tourism, during the latter’s trip to the terrorist-invaded Oberoi Trident Hotel in Bombay, sms-es about Varma have been flooding people’s cell phones.

The sms-es increased after Deshmukh was asked to resign from the chief minister’s post. One sms said: ‘Ramgopal Varma ka kamaal dekho: Do Sarkar banai aur ek giraaee!’ Another sms went: ‘Who is the most powerful film director? Ramgopal Varma, of course! He can change governments!’
