New Delhi, Dec 14 (PTI) Actor-director Kamaal Khan whose earlier film 'Deshdrohi' generated a lot of controversy for its anti-MNS stand will set his cameras rolling on January 26 for a sequel focussing on the recent Mumbai terror attacks. In 'Deshdrohi 2', Khan will depict the current security situation in country. "In 'Deshdrohi 2', audiences will see why the current situation arises, what were the loopholes in the security system and what steps could have been taken to prevent the situation," Khan said.
"In my earlier film also, I have portrayed how certain corrupt politicians are exploiting regional sentiments to garner votes. My new film will go a step further," he said. Taking potshots at Pakistani artistes visiting India, Khan said the performers from the neighbouring country should not be allowed to perform in India. "The government should immediately serve notice to these artists, whether it's Adnan Sami or anybody, and ban them from performing in India," Khan said. While acknowledging that people will gradually go back to their normal lives and forget the Mumbai incident, Khan said it is up to the artistes to keep the emotions alive. "We must do something and stand united in this trying time and fight against terror," he added.
