Guy Ritchie bans Madonna from staying at his home

The 50-year-old pop queen had hoped to put aside their differences for a day to spend time in a quiet family celebration at the country mansion they used to share before the divorce.

The duo had decided to put on a united front for the sake of their children Lourdes, Rocco and David but 40-year-old Ritchie has made it clear to his ex-wife that he doesn't want her to stay overnight at his Ashcombe House in Wiltshire, the Sun reported quoting sources.

"Guy is desperate to see the children on Christmas and was ok with them all spending the day at Ashcombe," a source close to the couple said.

"He was even willing to have Madonna there and try to be civilised for the sake of the children. But having her stay over was just too much," the newspaper said.

"He couldn't bear the thought of her padding round the kitchen next morning like old times there are too many sad memories." Ritchie got the country house as part of their divorce settlement. Madonna does not like the house, but was willing to spend Christmas there for the children's sake.

But it seems that their plan for a peaceful Christmas may just not work out.

"It's not as if she can stay in the B&B up the road. There's nowhere suitable nearby. They're trying to come to some sort of solution but they just can't agree on anything and it's getting very late to organise," the source said.
