Bollywood actor Salman Khan today launched the Kingfisher calendar 2011 in Mumbai. The calendar, shot at Le-touessork in Mauritius by Atul Kasbekar, has six top swimsuit models including Diana Hayden and Kingfisher calendar girl Angela Johnson.

''The calendar is meant to be a platform for India to the world, and showcases India as a modern, vibrant nation. We are proud to be behind the initiative platform is ideal. We try and bring India internationally, hence have migrated from Indian models to foreign models with Indian blood. We want people to participate in a fair transparent competition,'' said United Breweries (UB) chairman Vijay Mallya.

''This is the second time I am launching the calendar. I have known Vijay (Mallya) for a long time. He drinks his own wine and wears his own clothes, and he works not for himself but for all those who work with him,'' Salman said at the launch.
