Mumbai, Dec 24 (PTI) The Bombay High Court today refused to stay the release of much-hyped 'Ghajini' starring Aamir Khan and directed the movie producers to file their reply to a petition by another production house claiming possession of the film's copyright by December 26. KBC Pictures, a lesser-known company, had approached the High Court seeking a stay on the release of the movie alleging it possess the copyright to the story and the screenplay of the movie.

'Ghajini' is a Hindi version of a 2005 Tamil film of the same name directed by A R Murugadoss. The Hindi version is produced by Geetha Arts and directed by Murugadoss.

The petition relies on an agreement signed between KBC Pictures and Murugadoss by which they were given the copyrights for remaking the movie.

The producers have, however, alleged the signature on the agreement is forged and said they had not entered into any such deal with the petitioners.

The vacation bench of the High Court has directed the producers to put this in their affidavit which is to be filed on December 26.
