Protests were witnessed in the temple city of Varanasi when women walked to a multiplex with brooms and lathis demanding ban on the song 'Shiela Ki Jawani' in the Bollywood film 'Tees Mar Khan' released today.

The women protestors under the banner of 'Vande Mataram Sangharsh Samiti' also tore down the posters of the film at Spic Multiplex and some other cinema.

Police had a very hard time to control the women and after two hours of their protest they left the place in Bans Phatak locality.

Meanwhile, a petition has been filed in the Lucknow division bench of the Allahabad High Court yesterday against the producer and director of 'Tees Mar Khan' film for use of indecent, immoral and vulgar songs in the film.

As an interim relief, the petitioner Nutun Thakur has requested to the court ordering the respondents to stop the release of the film as long as the song 'Sheila ki jawaani' is not removed from it.

The case is expected to come up for hearing on January 3 next.
