Kill Dil sees Shaad Ali handling directorial reins seven years after he made 'Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom'. Shaad describes 'Kill Dil' as "a film about the tricks the heart plays on an unsuspecting victim of love."

The film bears the look of a spaghetti western-meets-Hindi potboiler with a romantic angle to it.
