Yo Yo Honey Singh turned into a sensation instantly when he broke into the music scene with his rap-filled songs that had a distinctive desi touch to them. Though his songs were lapped up by the youth, a section of the listeners complained about the excessive references to alcohol and inebriation in them. Songs like ‘Party All Night’, ‘Main Sharaabi’ were cited as examples to put across this point.
Though the rapper cum composer is doing selective work these days, he manages to get his fans’ feet tapping whenever he releases a new track. His new song from the Jackky Bhagnani-Kritika Kamra starrer ‘Mitron’ is about to release very soon but here is an interesting detail about the song that will surprise you!
As the film is set in Gujarat, which happens to be a dry state, it was not possible to create a song around people drinking and partying. Well, there is a party number but without alcohol. In fact, the rapper, in his characteristic manner, advocates an anti-liquor message through the track. Being a Honey Singh song, there is a lot of quirkiness and fun attached to it. It would be interesting to see how his fans react to the track.
‘Mitron’, produced by Abundantia Entertainment and directed by Nitin Kakkar, hits the theatres on 14 September, 2018.
