Director Raja Ram Mukerji is all set to release his short film ‘Main Acchi Hoon’ (‘I Am Good’) after getting nominated and winning couple of titles at various film festivals around the globe. The film revolves around a young female artist who falls victim to bipolar disorder due to a rough childhood.
The filmmaker says, “I believe in creating films that bring about a positive change in our society. With Beti and Main Kaun Hoon (the previous short films he directed), I aimed for women empowerment, and now with I am Good, I want to raise mental health awareness. Bipolar disorder is a very unfortunate state of mind people get stuck in and with my film, I want to let people know that there is hope for them”.
The short film’s brand producers are Nishant Pitti and Raj Suri and it stars actors Ambika Soni, Shruti Sharma, Indraneel Bhattacharya, and Anuradha Rajyadhyaksh. The film’s screening will be held on the 7th of April and will also be released for the audiences to watch on the YouTube channel The Short Cuts.
