As an actor, Sharad Kelkar had amassed a good level of experience both on television and in films. The actor, who started with a small role in director Priyadarshan’s ‘Hulchul’ (2004), became a household name with his performances in popular TV shows like ‘Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar’, ‘Sindoor Tere Naam Ka’ and ‘Kuch Toh Log Kahenge’, among others. He kept working in films (‘Rocky Handsome’, ‘Hero’, ‘Mohenjo Daro’, ‘Sardar Gabbar Singh’) and even lent his voice to Prabhas in the Hindi versions of the two ‘Baahubali’ films.
Recently, Sharad was seen in a pivotal role in the Raj & DK created show ‘The Family Man’, which marked his debut in the digital space. The actor received several accolades for his performance as Arvind. His character is expected to have a more elaborate graph in the second season of the show. The success of the show has given Sharad the confidence to experiment with more roles in the web space.
His next outing on the web will be the second season of the popular Zee5 show ‘Rangbaaz’. In the show, headlined by Saqib Saleem, he will be seen in a negative role. As far as films are concerned, Sharad will next be seen in this year’s big Diwali release ‘Housefull 4’. He will be seen playing a double role (Suryabhan/Michael Bhai), the character poster of which was unveiled recently.
With the kind of response his performances has been getting, one expects to see the actor trying out a wide variety of roles across different platforms.
