The government has finally allowed the shooting of films and series that were shut down during the lockdown. But the government has put a condition in this permission. Artists over the age of 65 will not be allowed to participate in the shooting. Senior actress Surekha Sikri has raised her voice against this rule of Maharashtra government. “We don’t want money, we want work,” she said.
In an interview, Surekha Sikri spoke out against the government’s lockdown rules. She said, “I am definitely facing financial problems due to the lockdown. I have not yet received the money for the series in which I worked. As a result, this economic scarcity has arisen. But I don’t want to advertise my problems. Because I don’t want donations from anyone, I just want work. This decision made by the government for artists above 65 years of age is wrong. They should repeal this rule immediately, so that we, the senior artists, can work and fill our stomachs. ”
