Pagalpanti has flopped at the box office. The film collected mere 29 crores* in its opening week and that’s the kind of number which one would have expected as a bare minimum in the opening weekend itself.
The film neither opened well, nor grew over the weekend. Later, weekdays were always going to be a formality and this is what happened as numbers continued to slide with every passing day.
As a result, even 30 crores milestone hasn’t come for the film and that’s a very poor result. At least 50 crores would have been the bare minimum expectations even after lack of interest amongst audiences to check out this Anees Bazmee directed film but then eventually it would not even come close to that.
The multistarrer would now soon be arriving on digital and satellite medium and it is expected that just like Mubarakan, the family flick should end up doing better on these platforms.
