The Sidharth Malhotra – Riteish Deshmukh starrer ‘Marjaavaan’ has maintained a steady hold over the weekdays. The film managed to collect Rs. 3.61 crores on Tuesday. The film’s collections on Tuesday have shown approximately a 50% drop from day one but that is no really alarming as this drop could have come through on the first day of the week.
The total collections of the film now stand at Rs. 32.18 crores. The goal for the film is now to cross or at least reach the 50 crore mark at the box-office which should be a good enough result for the film. In the final tally, the film will collect much less than the director’s last film ‘Satyameva Jayate’ but that film had a bigger budget.
It is important for the film to hold up well on the second Friday as there is an important release (‘Paagalpanti’) coming up which is aimed at the family audience and is a commercial entertainer just like this Milap Milan Zaveri directed film.
