Though Ranveer Singh is known to have a boisterous and fun off-screen personality, one has not really seen him in an out-and-out masala film – the kind of film which would give him the scope to bring his effervescent persona on the screen. That seems to change with the arrival of ‘Simmba’, his new film directed by Rohit Shetty, which is an out-and-out commercial potboiler.
The film is an official remake of the Telugu hit ‘Temper’ and seems to have all the trappings of a proper Hindi masala film. Going by the trailer, the film seems to have just the right amalgamation of Rohit Shetty’s sensibilities and the kind of entertainment Telugu films provide its audience with.
In the trailer, one can see Ranveer doing a lot of action, romancing Sara Ali Khan and mouthing dialogues that are bound to get the audience clapping and cheering when they see the film in the theatres.
