Actor Shreyas Porus Pardiwalla recently collaborated with Odisha designer Kumar Guru Mishra to display his exquisite ikat print designs in a recently done fashion photoshoot.
“Kumar Guru Mishra is a delight to work with. I am really looking forward to work with him again and would also like him to design my outfits in the future”, says Shreyas.
Kumar Guru Mishra is an Odisha based designer whose ideology is based on bringing the heritage of Odisha into light but at the same time taking into consideration the changing fashion preferences of people. His ultimate goal remains showcasing the tradition of Odisha through couture. Being the star designer of various fashion shows, he has also designed and presented sarees for Bollywood actresses Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit.
“I have always tried to highlight the heritage of Odisha- Ikat being one of them. The charismatic personality of Shreyas and his ability to carry any design with ease inspired me to collaborate with him and get him on board to promote the art forms of my motherland which I have weaved on my designs,” says Kumar Guru Mishra.
