Audiences are eagerly waiting for the lockdown to be over and things to get back to normalcy. Of course, for a regular Indian, normalcy also means regular dose of Bollywood entertainment. With over 50 films in different stages of production, there are also new Bollywood jodis that are all set to enthrall audiences in time to come. Many stars and superstars are in fact taking the lead when it comes to doing multiple films in never-seen-before set up of new jodis. While Akshay, John, Kartik and Ranbir are taking the lead, let’s look at them all. Here is the Part 1.

Akshay Kumar – Manushi Chillar – Prithviraj, Akshay Kumar – Sara Ali Khan – Atrangi Re, Akshay Kumar – Nushrat Bharucha – Ram Setu

Akshay Kumar does three to four films at an average per year and 2020 was supposed to be no different. Nonetheless, months to come would see him pairing up with Manushi Chillar (who boasts of a beauty pageant title), Sara Ali Khan (daughter of his colleague Saif Ali Khan) and Nushrat Bharucha in his next three releases. This should be fun.

John Abraham – Rakul Preet Singh – Attack, John Abraham – Divya Khosla Kumar – Satyameva Jayate 2

John Abraham too has been experimenting with different pairings, as seen in Romeo Akbar Walter (Mouni Roy), Batla House (Mrunal Thakur), Pagalpanti (Ileana D’Cruz) and Kajal Agarwal (Mumbai Saga). The scenario is similar with Divya Khosla Kumar (making herr comeback to Bollywood) and Rakul Preet Singh (finding some plum projects) as his leading ladies.

Kartik Aaryan – Kiara Advani – Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

Yet another film, yet another new leading lady for Kartik Aaryan. The youngster is pretty much making a record of sorts with Kriti Sanon (Luka Chuppi) and Ananya Pandey/Bhumi Pednekar (Pati Patni aur Woh) in 2019 and Sara Ali Khan (Love Aaj Kal) in 2020. Next up is the jodi with Kiara Advani in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Who’s the next one, Kartik?

Ranbir Kapoor –  Alia Bhatt – Brahmastra, Ranbir Kapoor – Vani Kapoor – Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor – Shraddha Kapoor – Luv Ranjan’s next, Ranbir Kapoor – Parineeti Chopra – Animal

If there is one complaint that majority has with Ranbir Kapoor, it is that he does too few films. Otherwise, he could well have set a record like his dad when it came to pairing with new heroines. Nonetheless, one now keenly awaits his upcoming films where he would be seen with Alia Bhatt, Vani Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra.

Ranveer Singh and Shalini Pandey – Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Ranveer Singh – Jacqueline Fernandez & Pooja Hegde – Cirkus

Ranveer Singh has done quite a few films with Deepika Padukone and the duo would be seen in ’83 as well. However, the film which would see a fresh ‘jodi’ though is Jayeshbhai Jordaar where Ranveer would have Shalini Pandey by his side. This isn’t all as he would having double the fun in his double role act in Cirkus with Jacqueline Fernandez & Pooja Hegde.

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani – Shershaah

Last up, Sidharth Malhotra was seen with Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh in Marjaavaan and before that it was Parineeti Chopra [Jabariya Jodi]. It would be a new jodi though with Kiara Advani this year as producer Karan Johar brings them together in Shershaah. Considering the war theme of the film, one waits to see how will this romantic ‘jodi’ fit into the proceedings.

Vijay Devarakonda and Ananya Pandey – Liger

This could well turn out to be a ‘dhamakedaar’ pairing in the offering, what with Karan Johar orchestrating the casting for Puri Jagannadh’s Liger. He was always keen to launch Vijay in Bollywood while Ananya is already his protégée since Student of the Year 2. With loads of ‘masala’ expected in the narrative, Vijay and Ananya are expected to get into ‘dhinchaak’ mode.

Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur – Jersey

While Vijay is being launched in Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor – who reprised his Arjun Reddy role in Kabir Singh – would be doing yet another south remake, Jersey. This time around, he would have Mrunal Thakur for company who made an impression in small roles last year [Batla House, Super 30]. However, in Jersey the duo is playing a married couple with ample scope together.
