Since her debut in ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’, Alaya F has not only entertained audiences with her performances but also showcased her vision for meaningful storytelling and collaboration with esteemed directors.
From the onset of her career, Alaya has been steadfast in her commitment to seek out roles that challenge her as an actor and contribute to her growth. In a recent interview, she articulated her aspiration clearly, stating her desire to work on “really good stories” with “really good directors”.
Alaya said, “Yes, I just want to work on really good stories. I want to work with really good directors. I have been lucky to have been able to work with a lot of really wonderful directors. I am a total director’s actor. Whatever my director wants is what I end up giving. I want to work on films that demand something out of me. I want to feel challenged and I want to grow. I want to find something that will help me grow more as an actor. I want to feel satisfied as an actor.”
Reflecting on her journey thus far, Alaya highlights, “The two performances that I am actually proud of are the two films that I shot the earliest in my career – ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ and ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’, the latter was by Anurag (Kashyap) sir. Those are my two favorite performances. My performances have received love but as an actor, I haven’t been satisfied. So, that’s what I am looking for now,” she adds.
While her recent film, ‘Srikanth’ alongside Rajkummar Rao received widespread acclaim, audiences eagerly anticipate Alaya’s future endeavours.
