Actress Shafaq Naaz has been enjoying all the appreciation she has been receiving for her film, X or Y. In this exclusive chat, the actress reveals her motive behind doing the film, and how she thinks it will make a positive impact on the society. Read on to know more.
Talking about what made her sign up the film, she says, “The storyline is definitely the deal breaker for me, always. I have always wanted to be a part of a film with a social subject. Women for as long as one can remember, have faced unfair situations in their daily lives, and it’s time that we don’t just preach a change, but also initiate it. So doing this film is my contribution towards the society “.
Talking about her character in the film, she says, “I play a working mother who struggles to juggle between work and personal life due to an orthodox family. The character is very relatable, and because of this very relatable nature of my character, I think it can become many women’s source of inspiration- as they see my character fighting the odds, and thriving”.
The actress concluded the interview by saying that she wishes to do more films that don’t just help her become a better actor, but also do films that can ‘change lives’.
