In exactly two months from now, Marjaavaan would be unleashed into theaters. While for everyone involved with the film this one is a special affair, one man who would be keenly awaiting audience response would be Sidharth Malhotra.
“This one is his first out and out ‘masala’ entertainer,” says a source attached to the film, “Marjaavaan is what you term as a complete entertainer with love, drama, action, music, thrills, dialogue-baazi – just about everything coming together. Sidharth has been experimenting with genres right from the days of Student of the Year to Jabariya Jodi. In fact even in Jabariya Jodi he took the massy route but then there were too many movements around the release date and audiences chose to wait for Independence Day releases Mission Mangal and Batla House.”
However, there won’t be any such external factors playing truant with Marjaavaan as the Nikkhil Advani production would be enjoying a solo release on 8th November.
“That’s indeed great news for Marjaavaan as everything can now be planned well for the film’s arrival,” our source continues, “This one is being treated as a biggie no less and if you see the kind of posters that have been unveiled, it is a holds-no-bar unabashed entertainer in the offering. If Milap Zaveri took a hardcore commercial route with Satyameva Jayate then Marjaavaan is next level altogether. You have to see it to believe it.”
That could well be the case, what with Riteish Deshmukh getting into the role of a lifetime as he plays the part of a dwarf. It’s the face-off between SidharthMalhotra and Riteish Deshmukh which is the highlight of Marjaavaan that has Rakul Preet Singh and Tara Sutaria as the leading ladies.
“Sidharth is playing a character which he has never enacted before on screen,” a close associate of the actor adds, “He is supremely excited about the film. There is a lot of action involved in there but the highlight is the kind of dialogue-baazi that he has engaged in. There are quite a few seeti-maar and taali-maar moments in the film and Sidharth can’t wait to gauge audience reactions.”
With just 60 days remaining for the film’s release, plans have already been put together for a major arrival of the film.
“In a few weeks from now the teaser would be out and that would be followed by the trailer, which is truly explosive. It is in hardcore Bollywood commercial cinema template but again the content is the kind that has been never seen before. It would surprise one and all. If Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh took on each other in Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain a few years back then the confrontation that they have in Marjaavaan is in a different league altogether. Just wait and watch.”
Well yes, we are waiting for sure.
