On his 54th birthday, Aamir Khan announced that he will produce and star in the remake of Tom Hanks’ ‘Forrest Gump’. Last year, after the debacle of ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’, the actor decided to take some time to zero in on his next project as an actor. While there were speculations about his next, Khan, in a media meet today, confirmed that his immediate film will be the Hollywood remake. In the comedy-drama, Tom Hanks was seen as a man suffering from crooked spine and low IQ.
The film will be called ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ and will star Aamir in the titular role. The film will be helmed by Advait Chandan, Aamir’s ex-manager who made his directorial debut with ‘Secret Superstar’ in 2017. The rest of the cast is expected to be announced soon.
Aamir did not share any information about the series he was said to be planning around the Mahabharata or any other project he plans to produce. For the time being, the announcement of his new film should give his fans enough reasons to rejoice about.
