Launched in the year 2008, the journey of Khusiyaan Events started in the form of a wedding planning company in Kolkata. Rahul Agrawal, the CEO and founder of the company, followed a conventional path like most men who come from traditional, middle-class families in India. He studied computer engineering and worked with an IT firm but being interested in the creative arts from a young age, he wanted to do something in this space.
“I was passionate about dance from a very young age. I used to choreograph the dance sequences that were performed in the sangeet ceremonies during weddings. All this was happening while I was still in college. I launched my Khusiyaan Events in the year 2008. Initially, we were into organizing and planning weddings but in 2012, we delved into the film marketing space as well. Then, we got into digital marketing and artiste management as well. We are focussing on content-driven social media marketing. Towards the beginning of next year, we will start doing offline marketing or PR as well”, says Rahul while talking about the journey he has had so far.
Rahul was born and lived in Kolkata till the age of 22. After a brief stint of working with an IT company in Pune, Rahul shifted to Mumbai and it’s been eight years since he has been living and working in the entertainment capital of the country.
“I was working in Pune but decided to shift to another company in Mumbai as I believed it would help me have a closer look at the way the industry was functioning. I quit my job a few months after coming to Mumbai as I had decided to devote my time towards the growth of my company. Khusiyaan Events had a very good start and we got to work with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda, Hrithik Roshan, Suniel Shetty, Varun Dhawan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and many others.”

Khusiyaan Events was launched as a small company in Kolkata and now, it’s a Mumbai registered company dealing with a variety of things including digital marketing and artiste management.
“We want to keep growing and doing innovative and path-breaking work in the digital marketing space. We want to be one-point solution for brands. We want to bridge the gap between artistes and brands. We also want to extend our support to local brands or homegrown companies who are making truly Indian products that are high on quality”, Rahul states further.
While the lockdown affected businesses of all kinds and sizes, companies like Khusiyaan Events didn’t really slow down as the need for online marketing grew and most of the content that was coming out of the entertainment industry was releasing on digital platforms.
“The digital space was always growing but it has grown by leaps and bounds in the last one year since the pandemic happened. There has been a smooth transition from offline to online marketing. We are focusing on result-oriented digital marketing wherein our clients genuinely feel that their business has grown after collaborating with us”, Rahul says on a parting note.
