The Star Screen Awards 2019 that concluded last night turned out to be a special evening for the new-age superstar Yami Gautam. Not only was the Bala actress shining bright at the red-carper, but she also took home an award, which was indeed special for her.
Yami won the award for the Best Actor in a Comic role for Bala. And this win got even more special because Yami was the only female nominated in that category along with actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan. Now beating that tough a competition, and emerging a winner is surely a great achievement for Yami.
This year all of Yami’s films – Bala and Uri: The Surgical Strike have done amazingly well at the Box Office. And while her spectacular performances have put Yami into the superstar league, with bagging season’s first award looks like the lady’s victory march has just begun.
