![]() The superstar Salman Khan needs to change his choice of films with modern times. Let us be practical 'Hum Aap Ke Hai Koun' would not work today at box office. We are in modern life today where most of them are living in nuclear family. Salman Khan as an actor is not consistent in his performances. In some of his films, he looks very disinterested and lacks energy. We love Salman Khan but we want him to play memorable characters like Pavan Chaturvedi in Bajraangi Bhaijaan, Sultan Ali Khan in Sultan or Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg.
'Race' is a franchise of thriller dramas with all grey characters in the film with lot of twists and action. 'Race3' clearly disappoints. Salman Khan has put in his ideas to make ideal watch for family audience doesn't live up to franchise. He has always told that he doesn't want to play negative character or characters with grey shades. It is a false notion and actor should be ready to play any kind of role and characters. Ranveer Singh in a negative role of 'Alauddin Khiji' in Padmvaat was loved by audience. 'Race3' has been forced upon Salman Khan and looks uncomfortable in the film. The film script has to be given more importance and every character should be well written. The right actors should be taken for every character in the story, who can enhance the film to next level. Salman Khan needs to work with better actors like Nawazzudin Siddiqui, Irfan Khan, Rajkumar Rao, Manoj Bajpai etc than very average actors like Bobby Deol, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan Etc in his films. He needs to understand that today audience is accepting different kind of stories well. He should do an offbeat real film with lesser budget. The fans may like their favorite stars doing larger than life roles but in between we also expect them to challenge themselves. In last two decades, the most memorable films have been with most beautiful stories like 'Lagaan', 'Dil Chahtha Hai', '3 Idiots', 'Chak De', 'Bajraangi Bhaijaan', 'Toilet - Ek Prem Katha', 'Barfi', 'Vicky Donor', 'Munna Bhai M.B.B.S', 'Lage Raho Munnabhai', 'Airlift' etc. We should give some importance to critics also. The combination of box office success, critical acclaim and audience love is truly great cinema. The sad part is that Salman Khan is not even trying to be part of great cinema consistently and falling to traps of box office. He needs to change with modern times with choice of scripts.
