This "typical" Jatin-Lalit album starts out with a
"typical" Jatin-Lalit song
"Kuch Tumhare Hain"
with Jatin-Lalits favorite singers, Udit Narayan and Alka
Yagnik. The song is very catchy, though it sounds similar to J-Ls latest Silsila Hai Pyar Ka and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
The next song is plain bad, "Tere Gaalon Ki Laali" is
terrible. Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik sound good, and it sounds a bit like "Mehndhi
Laga Ke Rakhna".
The title song is sung by Kumar Sanu. Its an average,
typical Jatin-Lalit number. Sanu is a little bit over-nasal but sounds above average. In
the past year, Sanu has been singing J-L songs as though he was in tiptop shape and with
other music directors his singing has varied from excellent (in the case of Kareeb and Sooryavansham) to abosolutely
horrible (in the case of Aa Ab Laut Chale).
The next song, "Nazar Milte Hi" starts off really well
and then turns into another humdrum beat. The starting gets some points, well. Similar to
Silsila Hai Pyar Kas starting, Alka Yagnik does a splendid job. The rest of the
song, sung by Alka and Vinod Rathod is just average, well.
Ever heard of RIP OFF? Well, J-L is at it again. Ripping of the latest pop hit, "Yaad
Piya Ke Aane Lagi", sung by Falguni Pathak. The music
is a little bit more appealing than the original version because of better beats
it
sounds like it has a sort of "Jhankar" in the background. And not only that, but
the song is given twice in the movie, simlilar to the title song.
I dont know why Asha Bhosle agreed to sing "Apni
To Life Main Style". The song is Horrible! I wish Jatin-Lalit could
have given Asha something more decent to sing.
Abhijeets return to Jatin-Lalits music is welcome, though it comes in a song
that isnt close to Abhijeets best with J-L from the movies Fareb and Yes Boss, not to mention Khiladis "Waada Raha Sanam". But, the song
isnt half as bad as the previous few original J-L compositions.
The next song is so bad that I thought the men and/or women that sung the song (Sudesh
Bhosle & chorus) would have enough sense to decline singing such a song
"Chaand Sa Lalla" is just BAD. And, if this song is
totally essential for the movie, at least exclude it from the album
because
well, if you really want to know what I mean, go get the audio cassette. Dont look
at the CD.
Overall, if you are in need of a little bit entertainment and you have some money to
spend, go get this tape. Otherwise, dont even think about it. Its probably
Jatin-Lalits worst since Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya, and even
then there were a couple compositions by other music directors that made the tape worth
buying. |
