Shareen Mantri Kedia partook in a panel discussion titled ‘The life in the industry as told by the women producers’ at NDFC Film Bazaar 2019. The new-age producer was joined by one of the most prominent producers of the Tamil film industry, Soundarya Rajinikanth.

The panel discussion shaped into a conversation about the surge in the number of women producers and their perspectives being integrated into Indian cinema. Shareen spoke about the rise in the experimentation of genres in the entertainment industry and how women should empower women. Talking about the panel discussion, Shareen said, “I’m honoured to have been invited by the NFDC Film Bazaar. It was a great exchange between us women producers and our journeys on the platform. It was amazing to be among cinema lovers who discussed women’s participation in content creation and entertainment so passionately. I thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Mantri-Kedia is the only young producer who has associated with an international legend to craft an Indian tale. The producer at Namah Pictures had the country shine in the world cinema scene by bringing aboard Iranian filmmaker, Majid Majidi to direct the globally acclaimed film, Beyond The Clouds. Her latest Marathi film, Anandi Gopal made it to the contention list of Oscars. Currently, her home banner is scripting its upcoming biopic, Birsa Munda to be directed by Pa. Ranjith.
