Amitabh Bachchan has dismissed reports that he tested negative for Covid-19 after 12 days of treatment at Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital. The reports also suggested that the actor will be discharged from the hospital soon. The actor is undergoing treatment at Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital and was tested coronavirus positive on July 11. Dismissing reports of him testing negative, Actor wrote, “This news is incorrect , irresponsible , fake and an incorrigible LIE.”
Along with Amitabh Bachchan, his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan are also undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
Big B is quite active on social media and often shares his health updates with fans. Earlier today, Big B had shared a photo collage on Twitter, depicting how hands describe religion.
He captioned the picture as, “Our two palms describe the religion, if they are joined, it means ‘Pooja’, if they are open, it means they seek Dua.”
Actor is also regularly updating from the hospital. In his latest blog post, Amitabh Bachchan expressed his gratitude towards his loving fans, he wrote “In these times of trial .. the entire day is filled with your love and care .. and I can only express what best I can from here .. my immense gratitude ..”
The actor, along with his son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya, tested positive for the virus earlier this month.
While Amitabh and Abhishek have been hospitalized since July 11, Aishwarya and Aaradhya were hospitalized last week after developing mild symptoms. Amitabh has been sharing regular updates on his social media accounts. He has been thanking well-wishers, saying that their support is what has been getting him through tough times. Recently, he shared a picture with Abhishek, Aishwarya and Aaradhya and wrote, “We see your love .. we hear your prayers .. we fold our hands .. in gratitude and thanks !”
Meanwhile, the Bachchans’ bungalows – Janak, Jalsa, Pratiksha and Vatsa – were sanitised by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and declared containment zones. Amitabh Bachchan’s wife and veteran actress Jaya Bachchan had tested negative for the novel coronavirus and is at home. Also all their staffers tested negative for the virus.
